Today is our last day with Captain Andy.

We started our day by taking a short dinghy ride to a marine park that has underwater sculptures. We don't have underwater camera equipment setup yet, so I found some Google images of what we got to see!

We then motored back to St. George’s mooring field to do some more mooring ball practice, then back into Port Louis Marina for more docking practice. On our way back into the marina, we stopped to re-fuel. Over our week, we only used 15.8 gallons of fuel – our tanks hold 170 gallons!

We then radioed to the dockmaster for assistance in redocking at our slip. It was a bit of a stressful situation because the dockmasters have their preference for how a boat’s lines are secured to the slip and each Captain/crew have their preference. Thankfully, Andy was able to step-in and mediate about what we wanted and we had a debrief about the importance of knowing our dock line preference. We ended up motoring 4.6NM over 3 hours.

Once docked, we finalized our paperwork and headed to the marina bar for lunch. We then said our farewell to Captain Andy. It was great to have a refresher on our ASA, learn more about our boat, and build our comfort and confidence :)
