We arrived in Grenada to complete our boat buying process of survey and sea trial. Windancer IV is being held at Spice Island Marina on the hard (out of the water in the boatyard).

We met up with previous Canadian owners Joh and Ziggy as well as our surveyor Andrew. Andrew was able to start the inspection process with the boat on the hard and we got to learn more about the previous owners and their time spent on their recent circumnavigation. Soon after, it was time to splash her (get the boat into the water) to complete the sea trial (boat version of a test drive). The boat travel lift was able to move her into the water and we sailed her to an awaiting slip in Port Louis marina. The entire process took about 3-4 hours and we're happy to report that the survey and sea trial went swimmingly (pun intended!). There are a few maintenance items that need to be addressed but otherwise she is seaworthy!

We are excited to begin our #boatlife as full-time liveaboard cruisers starting in November 2021 when we can get back to Grenada to take physical ownership.
